Are therapy spaces available?
If spaces are available you can apply via our website. Alternatively if spaces are currently unavailable, please add yourself to our waiting list by clicking ‘apply’ on our website. At this stage we are not able to give you an estimate of when spaces will become available. We advise against contacting us for this purpose.

What if my situation is urgent?
Please note we are not a crisis line. For urgent help please contact Samaritans on 116 123

Do you offer student placements?
Please note that we are not currently taking student placements at this time.

Do you assist with research?
Please note that we are not a research based organisation and therefore are unable to assist with requests to support research and academic work as much as we would love to.

Do you offer couples therapy?
Unfortunately we do not offer couples therapy at this time.

I am a qualified therapist seeking to work with TEG. Is this possible?
If you are a therapist seeking to join our organisation. Please contact us with a cover letter and CV which will be kept on file should we seek to recruit in the near future.

Do your therapists vary in approach and methodologies?
We have a range of professional, experienced and competent therapists who vary in specialisms, methods and approaches. We suggest you view the profiles of the therapists available for booking before choosing the therapist you would like to work with.

Can I change my therapist?
If you mistakenly book the wrong therapist. You can contact us within 24 hours to change this. We unfortunately cannot change your therapist manually. Therefore we would cancel and refund your booking in order for you to rebook the therapist of your choice, based on availability.

What if I don’t connect with my therapist?
If after your second session with your therapist you do not feel that their specialism or style would be suitable for you. You may contact us to change your therapist based on availability. Should you commence three sessions with a therapist we are unable to cancel or change your therapist. Please note therapy sessions cannot be allocated to another individual or subject to a refund at this stage.

Can I trial a therapist?
Some of our therapists offer introductory calls in order for you to decipher whether you are a good fit for one another. As this varies from therapist to therapist, please do contact us informing us of the therapist you would like to speak to prior to booking and we will inform you as to whether this is possible or not. Please note that we do not hold spaces during this time and a consultation does not guarantee a space. Spaces are subject to availability at the time of booking.

Are free spaces / concessions available for those who are unemployed?
At times we may be able to offer places free to those who are unemployed. However this is not guaranteed. If unemployed and seeking therapy with us. Please contact us for guidance on information we will request from you to consider your request. Our free spaces outside of this are already allocated to partner organisations working to charitable causes where culturally appropiate therapy would benefit their clients. To become a partner please stay posted to our website for future opportunities.

Can I pay session by session? Are the costs per session or block?
Unfortunately at present we do not have the option to pay on a sessional basis. The price displayed is the total for all 10 sessions.

I have had sessions with you previously. May I book again?
You are more than welcome to book further sessions with us. However please note you may be denied access to our services if you failed to previously complete evaluations as part of the terms and agreements of our service.

What happens with my data?
Data is used to confirm that the individual registering for therapy is the person in question working with the therapist. Data is also used to ensure that you meet the criteria for eligibility. Your data is not used for any third party purposes. For more information please visit our privacy policy here.

Are sessions online only or can be delivered in person?
Sessions with TEG can only be delivered online and not in person.
